Call me, Alex. Just a first-time 30-something year old mom learning to find herself in the quiet in-betweens.
Notes and Nap Times is where I document the little things: the books I’m reading, the pages I’m writing, & all other quiet hobbies in between that keep me sane and creative. Bonus: Witness the chaos that is me cooking meals for my baby with absolutely zero knowledge of cooking.

What this blog is:
Is a space for trying to find myself in between the chaos of motherhood. I’m starting to learn how important it is to carve out a small portion for yourself and enjoy things just for you. Yes, motherhood is the most important thing, but it’s also not the only thing.
It’s finding (and now sharing) how we can adapt portions of ourselves to fit our new roles and our new lives.
It is also a space for new moms who may be stumbling in the sea of “expert” advice from “perfect” parents. I can only offer personal experiences and insights, but never sound advice.
What this blog is not:
This is not a parenting/mom blog. This is a blog of girl who has hobbies and who also just happens to be a mom. I will not be giving advice or tips or tricks or hacks. I can only share what I myself have experienced. No need to tell me if I’m doing things wrong, I know most of the things I will be doing are wrong but that’s how parenting is. You just do the best with the choices that you’re dealt with.
So relax, unwind and put up your feet. Whether you’re a first time mom or just a girl who enjoys the same hobbies as me, let this space be a refuge from the chaos of “perfection.”
